"Ovarian Cysts and Cystic Ovaries"
Ovarian cysts are a common finding and deciding when to reassure, and when to refer, can be challenging. This talk will cover the physiology of the ovary, common types of cysts and their presentation, and management options. Issues such as polycystic ovarian syndrome and preservation of fertility during surgery will be covered.
- Have an improved understanding of the normal ovarian cycle and how it relates to commonly seen cystic structures
- Have an up to date appreciation of PCOS, its pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment
- Understand the common cystic pathologies and their investigation and management.
There will be both didactic and interactive components to this, and plenty of time to discuss cases.Tuesday 28 March 2017
